My current beauty lust list

Leighton Denny Small crystal nail file £12.00
What the brand says about this product:

The Rolls Royce of Nail Files

135 mm File in an Aluminium Case
A double award winning nail file!

Previously InStyle magazine voted it Best Nail File and now the gurus of the beauty industry, Cosmetic Executive Women, have voted it Best Manicure Product. What an accolade!

This smaller CRYSTAL FILE has the same perfect filing surface as the large file and also comes with the same lifetime guarantee*. The finest lead crystal is carefully treated to create the perfect nail file. Leighton Denny's CRYSTAL NAIL FILES simply turn the nail edge to dust. Traditional nail files can leave the nail edge rough or uneven, but the CRYSTAL FILE smoothes the nail completely,
sealing it, leaving not a trace of a split or catch.

Why I want it:

Despite being a nail addict you may be shocked to hear I have never had a proper nail file! My nails are always breaking when im on the go so I plan on popping this in my bag for such emergencies and fingers crossed it delivers on its promise to not leave the nail rough or uneven.

Why I want it:

Superdrug Optimum Swiss Apple Day Cream

What the brand says about this product:

Bioré® ultra deep cleansing pore strips have an innovative slit design for improved fit.
Why I want it:

I am obsessed with looking at my pores up close on the magnifying mirror and lately I have not liked what I have seen! Plus looking at all the gunk that they draw out of the skin is kind of fun......im not the only one that feels that way right? :P Expect a review on these soon!

Are any of you girls a fan of the products I have mentioned?

Some Accessorize nail polish swatches :)

Hi :) I recently added to my Accessorize nail polish collection and thought I would share some swatches with you in case any of you were thinking of taking advantage of the 2 for £4.99 offer in Superdrug at the moment :)

(click picture to enlarge)

Electric Purple

3 coats were needed of this one. It has a satin finish which I was surprised by as the rest of them are glossy. I would rate this one 7/10

(click picture to enlarge)

Indigo

2 coats were needed of this one. This one is my favourite out of all four. I love the colour and it has such a glossy finish. I would rate this one 9/10

(click picture to enlarge)

Baby Blue

An arduous 4 coats were needed of this one! It's a nice colour but having to do so many coats means despite this I would only it 5/10

(click picture to enlarge)

Candy Pink

Another 4 coater! Again its a pretty colour but not worth all the effort! With this in mind id rate it 5/10. It looks rather peachy in this photo but in real life its alot pinker.

(click picture to enlarge)

I had hoped they would be more opaque in less coats so my search for a new baby blue and pastel pink goes on! I still like all of them, the paler one will be a perfect base for nail art......only on days where I have plenty of time to spare waiting on each coat drying!

Do you like any of them?

Are you like me that you feel very few nail

polishes are worth the effort of applying more

than 2 coats?

Accessorize baked eyeshadow duo in pick up line

Hello :) I have only recently discovered the lovely Accessorize make up brand and adore some of their ultra pretty nail polish shades so I thought id take the plunge and try some of their other make up items.

First up their baked eyeshadow duo in 'pick up line' which costs £4.00 from http://www.accessorize.com and selected Superdrug stores.

And here it is:

(Click picture to enlarge)

(Click picture to enlarge)

Accessorize say:

  • Highly pigmented complimenting shadows that instantly bring colour & eyes to life!
  • The formula has been baked not pressed, offering 2 application options
  • Apply wet for more dramatic and intense colour
  • Apply dry for a soft shimmery finish
  • Achieve rich, colourful, long-lasting application that is never chalky
  • When wet try the deeper shades as an eyeliner

Here it is swatched just once without a primer:

As you can see it is quite sheer but coverage can be built up for a more dramatic look.

Here it is applied sparingly to my eyes:

Please excuse my sickly face!

And a close up:

I adore this eyeshadow! Its so shimmery and the colour combination is just gorgeous. I did not have high expectations as its so cheap but I have been proven wrong as its a great product that really delivers on its promises. I cant wait to get more of these duo's!

So what do you think? Have you tried these eye shadows yet?

Gosh Extreme Art Liquid Eyeliner in Silver 14 (Swatch)

Hello, this is going to be a very quick post! I am a huge fan of Gosh Extreme Art eyeliners. I reviewed them a while back  **click here** and feel the exact same way about this new one I picked up last week in Superdrug!

The one I purchased this time was number 14 Silver:

(Click picture to enlarge)

Here it is swatched once on my uber pale hand:

(Click picture to enlarge)

Its a lovely pale but bright highly opaque silver :)

Once again I would completely recommend these liners for those among of us with watery eyes looking for eyeliners that truly live up to their waterproof claims.

Don't forget to pick up a good eye make up remover as you will need it!

At the moment I am using Superdrugs own brand 'Simply pure gentle eye make up remover' which is great but sometimes nothing beats a drop of olive oil for removing stubborn waterproof eye make up :)
