NOTD: Models own 'Pink Punch' with Konad flowers

(Click picture to enlarge)

Review of Pink Punch: Pink punch is a gorgeous bright almost fluorescent orangey pink polish that was completely opaque in two thin coats. Drying time was nice and fast like all other Models own polishes. Another fab polish from Models own!

It looks really orangey here in this picture taken in the bright sunlight :)

NOTD & POTD: Barry M Blue Glitter with Polka Dots

Hi :) I just took these pictures 10 mins ago....its dark here now so the pictures aren't so good :/

I have never used this Barry M polish before so here is what I think about it:

Pros:

*Dried REALLY quickly
*Was opaque in 3 thin coats
*Cheap as chips (2 for £5.00 in Superdrug atm)

Cons:

*Is not as shiny as you would expect from a glitter polish...in fact it almost looked matte before the topcoat!
*I know this will have chips tomorrow despite using a topcoat but that's only a small con for me as I do my nails every second day :P

On to the pictures:

With Flash:

Now without Flash:

Also did my toes:

What I used:

Polish: Barry M Blue Glitter (3 coats) & Konad Topcoat
Nail Image Plate: Konad M79 & Bundle Monster plate BM19 on my toes (apart from big toes)
Stamping Polish: Models Own 'Beth's Blue' (which worked v.well as a stamping polish)

The peril of the yellow nail......***UPDATE***

Hi everyone or uhm if judging by the amount of comments ive been getting lately....nobody.....more followers but less comments.....doesn't make sense :P

Anyhoo! I thought id do an update on the state of my nails!

Here is my nails before I tried anything to get rid of the yellowness:

(Click picture to enlarge)

Naaasty!

3rd of July (after treatments mentioned ***here***)

(Click picture to enlarge)

Slightly better now?

(Click picture to enlarge)

All of the above pictures were taken in natural daylight with no flash.

Since the 3rd of July I have only done the lemon juice treatment 3 times (15 mins each time) and used the Scholl nail brightener twice. The Scholl treatment peels off after a day so I have decided to give up on my idea of using that as a top coat!

I mentioned in my last haul post that I picked up this:

Im going to use this as a base coat each time I paint my nails so it will always be on there hopefully improving it in between lemon juice treatments :)

I really think the lemon juice has helped the most and I will continue to do it twice a week so hopefully the yellowness will eventually go away completely *crosses fingers*

Anyone else want to own up to having yellow nails? :P

Review/Before & After: Dylash Eyelash Dye in Blue/Black

Hello everyone!

I am not lucky enough to be blessed with beautiful dark lush lashes like so many of you lovely girlies *sighs*

In fact I have utterly horrible ones that are so blonde they are almost white!

My brows are only a tad darker blonde but I dont mind them being pale as I use an eyebrow pencil.

I have went to a salon before for a lash tint and it turned out just the same as when I do it at home.

Before I go on to the review I must share with you some important Health Information & Precautions:

Before you get one of these kits and embark on the process its super important to do sensitivity test using the dye behind your ear and leave this for 48-72 hours.

This is required as The dye contains Phenylenediamine which can cause a severe allergic reaction in some people.

They say that if you are allergic to Phenylenediamine you will know it as its in most common hair dyes which most of us use.  That being said I have had my hair dyed a million times and never had any reaction when it was on my head but I have had puffyness/redness after using various at home eyelash dyes and always have some antihistamines ready should my eyes start to swell and would recommend that anyone else trying this kit out for the first time also does the same.

~~~~~~~~
The Review:
Eylure Dylash 45 day mascara in Blue/ Black is available from Boots stores in the UK for £6.99 and each kit states it can be used up to 12 times. If you compare this to the cost of getting your eyelashes dyed in a salon which can cost anything from £7.00-£15.00 it works out to be alot cheaper to do this at home :)
The product claims:
"Long lasting colour for dark, glossy lashes and brows. Easy and safe to use. Up to 12 applications."
I chose Blue/Black as it supposed to give a more intense and glossy colour. The kit does contains all you will need apart from Vaseline which you have to apply below your eye and on your eye lid to protect it from the dye.
Another thing is the little brush you are supposed to apply the product with isnt the best and its easier if you just use and old clean mascara wand :)
So after following the instructions you leave it on for 10 minutes to allow the colour to take to your lashes.
This is my natural lashes before using Dylash:
ha ha check out my nasty eyelashes! :/
They are pretty long I guess but you can barely seem them!
And here they are after 1 Dylash application:
Much better now don't you think?
I know alot of people wont see the point in this as I use mascara anyway but I find having them already dark somehow makes them look even longer with mascara plus my features dont look so washed out when im having a rare make up free day :)
I am as always very happy with the results :) I will continue to use this kit every month or so until it runs out and will definitely repurchase it :)
Small Superdrug Haul FT Sleek Circus Palette
Hi everyone :) I feel that I have been neglecting blogger.
I haven't had the chance to read all the latest posts never mind check out my new followers blogs *sighs* I am sorry :/ I have been so busy getting ready for my holiday next Tuesday and just stressing about anything and everything!
I took a trip to a shopping centre yesterday (Wednesday) evening with my friend to get a few bits and wandered into Superdrug and spotted the new Sleek 'Circus' Palette that the sales assistants were just putting out on the Sleek stand.
My friend loved the colours and I admit I really liked the look of some of them so I decided to pick it up and we will use it on our holiday :) Its my first Sleek palette.
The display said it was £5.99 but when I paid for it I noticed I was only charged £4.99 :P
(Click picture to enlarge)
(Click picture to enlarge)
(Click picture to enlarge)
Will any of you be purchasing this Sleek palette?
I also got from Superdrug:
Sally Hansen Insta-brite nail whitener which was reduced as the box was damaged :) Im hoping it doesn't peel like the Scholl nail treatment did and I can use it as a base coat instead of the Konad one I currently use :)
and:
Mini Bourjois nail polish Turquoise number 28 from the cocktails in Barcelona collection which cost £2.79.
My friend thinks im absolutely insane for paying £2.79 for the tiniest bottle of nail polish ever!
I had to have it as I love the 'Electric Pink' polish and this one as it looks so pretty :)
When I asked the girl in Superdrug why was there only one polish left....she said the Mini Bourjois range is being discontinued :( I hope the remaining stock in other stores gets reduced so I can stock up!
That leads me to ask.....are there any beauty products you love that other people would deem over priced and a waste of money?
Something that springs to mind for me is I used to have a serious addiction to the uber pricey Alterna haircare range spending £25+ for a conditioner! I thankfully have seen sense :P
