Temporary Tattoo Review from www.inkwear.co.uk :)

Hiya, this is something a bit different but I thought some of you *might* be interested :)

Most of you will have seen or at least heard of the Chanel trompe l'oeil temporary tattoo's

$75.00 from Chanel.com

Since they were released there has been a number of much cheaper temporary tattoo's available from places such a Miss Selfride and Topshop which has seen the popularity of this beauty trend soar.

I have no tattoo's at all! I have always wanted one on either my upper back and my foot. One of my favorite celebrity tattoo's is the rosary anklet Nicole Richie has on her foot:

I love it! Its cute and its in an area that can be hidden which I like :)

Because I want a tattoo at some point I had been looking for somewhere to get a temporary tattoo just so I can see what it would look like.....after much searching I found:

Inkwear sell a huge selection of temporary tattoos for ALL body parts.....I think even the fussiest person would find something on this site. They sell pearl/chain link bracelet/necklace ones if you are going for the look of the Chanel ones.

Another plus of this site is everything is reasonably priced and you can send them a picture and get a custom tattoo if they have nothing that takes your fancy :)

Since I want one like Nicole's I went for the one titled 'CelebChain1' which is very similar to her's only its a tad more subtle:

It cost £2.49 & postage was £1.00

I remember as a kid there was loads of sweets that had little tattoo's in them well you apply it the exact same way! You just peel off the clear film, place it where you want it then get a wet cloth and press down on the area...wait 20 seconds then tada you have a tattoo!

So here it is! Its quite subtle so I used the HD effect in Picknic photoshop so you get a clearer view of it :)

a bit closer up:

The process is super easy, each tattoo comes with an instruction leaflet. My tattoo lasted around 2 days (Mine peeled a little bit after 12 hours wear but was still good enough to wear on day 2).

I should add that how long they last depends on what area of the body it is applied too and how careful you are. Mine may have lasted longer had I not been wearing sandals with an ankle tie which pressed on the tattoo.

They are perfect for a night out and more importantly for me I now know I would love to get a permanent tattoo done on my foot/ankle as I love how it looks!

So to summerise I would definately recommend inkwear's temporary tattoo's :)

Would a temporary tattoo be something you would ever consider wearing for a night out/special occasion etc? Are you lucky enough to own the Chanel ones?
