Broken bones

Hello, long time no blog! To say I have not been inspired lately would be a massive understatement. These are the first nails I have done in months I have thought are anywhere near good enough to share with you all. Whilst I say they are good enough I would like to re-do them and try to get it a bit neater!

I originally had cross bones on my pinkie nail but did not like it!

The skeleton fabric in the background is the skirt I had made in an Alexander Henry osteology print.

Spa Ritual nutri thick basecoat (1 coat)
Nubar Black Chrome (2 coats)
White, red, and black acrylic paint by Deco art
A small dotting tool for the details
(It would have been neater if I used a cocktail stick but I couldn't find one)
Spa Ritual Impeccable top coat (2 coats)

Nightmare Before Christmas mix and match nails

Hello, its been a while again! I am happy with my nails at the moment as they are all the same length so I was able to get them shaped into the tame version of stiletto nails that I like.

I thought I would give NBC nails another go as it has been years since I first attempted them. Click *here* to see how I did them back in 2010. I am really happy with how they turned out this time. I have never gotten so many compliments on my nails!

(click picture to enlarge)

No close up pictures this time, this picture is pretty big when enlarged so I didn't think I needed too.

I feel so silly that I forgot to take a picture of my right hand as its completely different (chipped now and not photo worthy!) two nails were massive Jack faces that actually turned out okay!

I think next time I will just do them all different Jack faces like the thumb as I like that one best :)

Spa Ritual Nutri Thick strengthening basecoat*
Models own 'Black Magic' 2 coats
The nails with the stripe and the moon I used Nubar 'white peony' then a coat of Barry M glitter textured nail polish in 'lady 8'
White & black acrylic paint
Spa Ritual impeccable top coat*
I did the details with a cocktail stick

* These are both new and so far I am very impressed. Will do a review of them soon.

Scarlet fishnet backseam tights from Stockings HQ

Hello. Long time no blog!

A while ago the lovely people at Stockings HQ contacted me to ask if I wanted to choose some products from their site to review on m blog. I of course jumped at the opportunity as they are one of my favourite websites for stockings and tights.

Here are the items I selected:

(click picture to enlarge)

First I want to show you the fishnet tights. I am always unsure of fishnets and fear they will look tacky but I don't think these do. The fishnet is really fine and I think the backseam makes them a more classy option. They are perfect for when you want something a bit more interesting than black opaque tights but need something that will go with any outfit. Given the price I was surprised at the quality. They are really well made and not as fragile as they look which is important as I am prone to tearing tights with my long nails.

Here they are on:

I can't wait to try the other two pairs and will share review of them when I do.

Thank you Stockings HQ!

Fable & Fury Deer and raven silhouette necklace

Hello. Just a quick to show you this wonderful necklace I purchased from Fable and Fury Designs on Etsy. I have been eyeing up the items in this store for a long time. It was difficult deciding what to get as there is so many beautiful and unusual designs. I was originally going to get the bat one then I spotted the Deer design listed as a pre order and fell in love with it instantly.

Penti inspired climbing man seamed tights

Hello. It must have been a year ago now that I first spotted Turkish brand Penti's climbing man tights and decided I must have them immediately! Sadly they were sold out on their site and I couldn't find them anywhere so I gave up hope.

I had completely forgotten about them until one day I was looking at the latest cute tights on ebay and found a seller who sold an 'inspired' design.

At just £1.78 I knew I had to add them to my order. You can get them *here*. I ordered quite a few designs from Littlecat2020 and was pleased when my order arrived just over two weeks later.

Here they are on:

Taking a picture of the back of your own legs is not easy so I twisted the design round a bit in the above picture so you could see it better.

Extreme close up!

They are so cute. I am always pleased when nude tights are nice and pale and not a nasty shade of tan/orange. The quality is actually pretty good they are not super thin and there was no laddering when I put them on despite the fact my nails are at their longest. The only thing I do not like about them is that the seam does not go all the way to the top. How strange. I can't really complain for £1.78 and singe I knew that when I bought them. At least because I am short it ends higher up on my legs!

Get yours *here*.

I can't wait to show you the other ones I got!

B. Rich Intense Colour Lipstick in Carmen

Hello! I was so happy when Superdrug introduced their 'B' make up range as it is 100% Vegan friendly. The first all Vegan and cruelty free (BUAV approved) brand that is available in UK stores......as far as I know! I picked up a few things a few days ago and wanted to share with you what I got and review one of the products. Everything is currently 1/3 off.

(click picture to enlarge)

I bought:

Today I will be reviewing the lipstick. I am obsessed with red lips at the moment! My all time favourite being Lime Crime 'Retrofuturist'.

(click picture to enlarge)

This is what the brand have to say about their product:

B. Rich is a luxurious bold lipstick that lasts.

  • Intense colour impact in a single sweep.
  • Satin finish.
  • Creamy formulation that instantly conditions lips leaving them soft and smooth.
  • Sleek click pack.
  • SPF 15.
  • Dermatologically approved.

  • So wonderful to see products with the BUAV bunny AND clearly stated to be suitable for Vegans :)

    (click picture to enlarge)

    Obligatory cheesy application shot:

    (click picture to enlarge)

You can sort of see a slight shimmer in the above picture as it is in the sun. Its a lot more noticeable and shiny in real life!

    Simple eye make up look:

    Extreme close up:

    (click picture to enlarge)

I absolutely love it! I did not have the highest of expectations I admit as I felt spoilt using Lime Crime but I was pleasantly surprised! The colour is completely opaque with a smooth finish. I would say it is in between the LC shades 'retrofuturist' and 'glamour 101' so I have a valid excuse for purchasing it! It says its a 'satin' finish but I would say its more glossy. It has a slight golden shimmer too it which you can only see in bright daylight. I think the finish is a lot more forgiving if you have a bit of dry skin on your lips as the formula seems to be quite moisturising. Oh and it lasted really well. I am so happy to have found a Vegan friendly brand I can just walk into the stores in buy. I rate this lipstick equally as good as the Lime Crime ones :)

I can't wait to try the other products and will of course review them in due course
